We require a bright and proactive person to join our Control team and to be responsible for the debt collection and credit control of our Spanish and Scandinavian markets.
This role would be ideally suited to a bi-lingual Spanish/English speaker with credit control experience. Fluency in Spanish is essential..
The candidate will be dealing with our European accounts and will work closely with our customer service teams and sales representatives so should possess good communication skills coupled with the ability to be able to work both as part of a team but also independently. Good organisational and EXCEL skills combined with positive and hardworking outlook are essential.
Tasks include:• Contacting customers by telephone or any other method if balance is over credit limit or overdue.
• Monthly statement and chase letter runs or their equivalent
• Cover with and for colleagues of other markets during holidays/absence.
• Processing monies received on the same day of receipt with correct allocations and reconciliations.
• Monitoring insured and none insured Credit limits to hold or release goods as appropriate
• Close liaison with reps/agents on accounts overdue and issuing progress credits where required.
• Implementing legal action or insurance claims to collect debt
This role can be deadline driven with high volume of payments at each month end so previous experience of payment allocation would be ideal as well as cash posting experience.

We have an exceptional and exciting opportunity within our Product Development Team for a Product Development coordinator for our home furnishing fabric, wallpaper and interior accessory ranges.
The role will cover working with the Designers Guild brand and our brand collaborations - for example Ralph Lauren home and Christian Lacroix. This is a diverse and demanding role requiring excellent organisational and administrative skills: We are looking for candidates with experience in product development, buying admin or merchandising for multiple product categories and brands. Experience in coordination of ranges for interior furnishing fabrics, wallcoverings and accessories will be an advantage for this role. Setting up product information on our database, updating and following the critical path, liaising with suppliers, managing pre and post launch sampling requirements including pattern books, creating sales reports, and supplying product information to teams as necessary as well as admin support for Head of Product Development. Proven ability to work with Microsoft Excel/database management - Adobe InDesign and Photoshop will also be an advantage for this position. Applicants will demonstrate an ability to work well within a small, dedicated team and delivering to tight deadlines under pressure. Designers Guild requires a Contract Sales Manager to join our UK Sales team with responsibility for the account management of trade customers specifically within the London contract and interior decorator market.
Experience in the luxury end of the interior design market is a prerequisite for this role.
Key elements of this position include:
Maintaining and developing strong and professional relationships with existing trade accounts through regular contact.
Establishing and fostering relationships with new trade customers operating within this sphere.
Client presentations of new collections from Designers Guild and Designers Guild brands and the implementation of effective and targeted management of sampling placed.
Demonstration of excellent product knowledge in order to offer ongoing support with client projects.
Managing the tendering process of project specifications within the contract sector.
Developing a strategy to build sales and increase market share in this sector.
Weekly reporting to the Head of Uk Sales to update on client activity and highlight ongoing projects, share market knowledge and identify areas for product development specific to the contract market.
