Creative Director Tricia Guild curates her edit of Fall/Winter 2018

“There is a distinct moment between the shifting seasons that I love. It is in this special moment, when the rich shades of Fall merge effortlessly with those of late Summer to create a beautiful new look. It’s the perfect time to embrace those small but vital changes that will breathe new energy into the home.”

Geometric pattern always plays a defining role within our collections but this season, there is a much stronger focus. I find that nothing balances the femininity of florals quite like graphic print. Using the two elements together adds such a unique and tailored point of difference.”

“There are many beautiful examples of contemporary prints imbued with a sense of rich, luxurious history and exoticism in the FW18 collection. I love the Manchu print, which is inspired by traditional Manchu dress – there is such a strong decorative and graphic emphasis about its design; it is inspired by historical artefacts but it is updated with gorgeous ochre and persimmon tones, with a glorious layering of painterly flowers, making it feel very modern. I would pair this design with a tonal satin stripe such as Tanchoi and a plain softly washed linen like Brera Lino to really draw the eye. Together the varying textures add such a unique dynamic.”

“We have a compelling new palette this Fall; it is deliberately rich and warm and totally reminiscent of the exotic scenes which Isabella Bird would have encountered. Think moss, saffron, scarlet and damson with highlights of burnished ochre, forest and lime. Together these colors feel luxurious and glamorous and are a new direction for us.”

“Each of our paint shades is available in a range of eco-friendly, water based, durable interior and exterior finishes which offer outstanding coverage and opacity.”

“I adore colours and tones that echo the palette of the natural world, there’s something so reassuring and restful about it. Our 100% pure linen Biella bed linen in tones of thyme and olive echoes that sentiment exactly: it is the definition of pure relaxation. Washed for softness too and with no need for pressing, this bed linen is contemporary and modern and naturally stylish in any setting.”

“My favorite new shape this season, the runner! It’s so versatile and looks beautiful in hallways and landings as well as bedrooms. I like to layer mine over a larger plain rug.”
