Interior Designer

Location: Kings Road, SW3

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic in-house Interior Designer.

Working from our Kings Road Flagship store, this person will be responsible for initiating, designing and project managing Designers Guild’s retail interior projects and design services which include: bespoke curtains, design consultation, upholstery, interiors advice on colour and texture and project management.

The successful candidate will be highly presentable, both sales and target driven, very organised, personable, charismatic, with a passion for creative design with experience in the luxury end of interior design. The ability to work well under pressure whilst delivering an interior that both befits Designers Guild’s high standards and gives the customer total satisfaction is key for this role.

This is an important part of our business and there are opportunities to further develop this division further by the right person.

Reporting to our Showroom Manager, you will join a motivated and friendly team working on a full-time basis, 40 hours per week. (The showroom is open 6 days a week)

Press Officer

Location: Head Office, W10

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Press officer to join our Communications team at DGHQ. Motivated and enthusiastic with a clear passion for the brand, the successful candidate will have a broad understanding of print and digital media.
Knowledge of both InDesign & Photoshop is advantageous in order to design press releases and resize/reformat images.
A second language would be welcome though not vital.
The role includes:
• Liaison with publications and stylists, responding to image requests, press loans and so forth.
• Dealing with the national and regional print media, broadcast and online media.
• Updating the press loan log and organising UK & International press loan returns.
• Daily upkeep of the press office’s email inbox
• The production of proactive media and Communications campaigns on a seasonal basis.
• Monitoring media coverage
• Working with the PR Manager to update our social media platforms and working on social strategies and scheduling content.
• Responding to the social media comments and customer enquiries.
• Working with worldwide press.

Purchasing Coordinator

Location: London, W10

We have exciting opportunity to join our Purchasing team at DGHQ.

The main purpose of the role is to plan, coordinate and monitor the supply of stock to meet the demands of the supply chain. You will work as part of a team analysing and monitoring stock holding and availability, ensuring levels are within target and achieved according to plans. Taking ownership for the coordinating and ordering of stock you will develop excellent, on going relationships with suppliers and thereby improve the stock ordering process. Another important aspect of the role will be to control costs and ensure standard costs are continually monitored and updated. Another key responsibility will be to ensure launch timetables are met by liaising closely with both our Product Development team and suppliers.

To be successful you will need to be of graduate calibre, analytical, numerate, with good reporting skills and be an excellent communicator. Must be a team player but of equal importance will be heaps of initiative and the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines. Fluency in any other European languages would be beneficial but not essential.

Please note that previous purchasing experience is required for this role. We are happy to consider candidates with previous purchasing experience of 12 months or more. Ideally we are looking for a solid purchasing background to bring a competent level of experience to the team. Prospective salary will reflect the level of experience in this area.

Showroom Assistant Manager

Concierge and General Assistant

Location: Kings Road SW3

We are looking for a full-time (40 hours, 5 days per week) Concierge and General Assistant to join our team at our flagship store in Chelsea.

The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service and communication skills and will be required to assist in all aspects of a busy retail environment, including heavy lifting and general building maintenance.

The role will be responsible for the security of stock, safety of staff & customers and will respond to all security and safety matters.

Responsibilities also include ordering and booking-on stock, fire and intruder alarm-bell testing, maintaining the appearance of front and back of house areas, assisting with POS displays, and occasional off-site visits to deliver to clients or resolve issues on behalf of our customers.

The role will suit a multi-tasker, who is happy to roll up their sleeves, has a very high attention to detail and the ability to self-manage.

Work Experience - Retail

Location: King's Road, Chelsea SW3

We have fantastic work experience positions available based at our stunning flagship showroom on the King's Road in Chelsea. We usually accommodate placements of 1 or 2 weeks and you will gain a valuable insight into both retail and interior design. Our internships are unpaid, although we offer a nominal amount to cover your travel expenses and lunch.

We are currently inviting applications for placements from mid June 2022 onwards.

Regrettably we are unable to accommodate students under the age of 18.
