Guest blog: Chantal Coady of Rococo Chocolates
This week we catch up with owner of Rococo Chocolates - Chantal Coady where she shares her passion for chocolate.
Where did your love of chocolate come from?
I have always loved chocolate, as far back as I can remember - a real treat as a child and there was never quite enough. Maybe that is also being one of five children?
What parts of the World do you source your ingredients from?
We have an organic cocoa farm in Grenada which is a joint venture with the Grenada Chocolate Company, we use single origins from all around the cocoa world, Madagascar, Peru, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and then in terms of other ingredients, we find inspiration from our own island this seasons Spring collection features ingredients from Wales, Yorkshire, and Derbyshire. We also find raw materials from France, Italy and as far afield as Iran and Malaysia.
What is your favourite Rococo chocolate bar?
If I have to choose one it would be the Grenada bar.
If you weren’t a chocolatier, what would you be?
Definitely something in the creative realm, and almost certainly in the design field.
What is your favourite DG fabric?
‘'Majolica". I love the cobalt, with the mix of intense blue and washed out inky marks.
What is your top pick from our online shop?
I love the ‘'Biella"Pale Grey and Dove bed linen.
