The Paint edit: Forties blue

AUGUST 2017

For every strong palette there are equally compelling reasons to create something more softer and quieter, the other side of the coin perhaps.

The colours in this paint edit may be from the cooler side of the spectrum, but their underlying tones are warm and full of richness evoking a sense of calm - rebalancing a room.

The lightness in this palette comes from our cold embers and steel paint shades - from the softest whisper of grey and chalky white, working beautifully with our Vintage denim hue, bringing a strength of blue without overpowering. Our Pavonazzo wallpaper works beautifully with these combinations of hues in a textured form - adding another dimension to a room or space. Or if wanting to keep it soft and tonal our Angelique damask wallpaper design offers a subtle pattern with fluid watercolour hues and brushstrokes with dappled metallic highlights.
