Designers Guild, established in 1970, one of the foremost home and lifestyle companies designing and producing furnishing fabrics and wallcoverings worldwide, launches The Royal Collection of Fabrics and Wallpapers under a worldwide association with the Royal Collection.
The collections are inspired by the magnificent interiors of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, official residences of Her Majesty The Queen, and by works of art in the Royal Collection.
Designers Guild has carefully researched the archives in order to produce, and make available to the public, collections that are inspired by the royal palaces and not only possess integrity and splendour, but which are of the highest quality. The range has been produced using the finest weavers, printers and specialist mills whose expertise will ensure a balance of remaining faithful to traditional weaving and printing methods and the very latest in modern technology.
This is the first licensing agreement of this kind that the Royal Collection has undertaken. Designers Guild is therefore honoured to present this inaugural collection of jacquard woven silk damasks, embroidered silks, silk velvets, sumptuous jacquard velvets and wonderful flock printed and surface printed wallpapers.
Tricia Guild and her design team have created a cohesive collection of sophisticated fabrics that, whilst being classically inspired by the royal palaces, have a relevance to today’s world and how we live.

- Dorothea - A pretty floral trail design, beautifully embroidered on a pure silk ground and based on an 18th century rococo silk.
- Mathilde - Inspired by 18th century Portuguese silk damasks, an exquisite pure silk embroidery on a silk jacquard ground.
- Henrietta - A richly embellished embroidered silk with a classical flower and basket pattern in delicious colours.
- Savigny - A classical French 18th century pattern woven in a lampas technique for a refined and elegant look.
- Rochet - A pure silk jacquard weave in an elegant striped pattern with interwoven floral trail in subtle shades.
- Briolette - A pure silk jacquard weave with an elegant classical 18th century motif in subdued shades.
- Julienne - A stunning floral trail pattern with intertwining foliage, richly printed on a pure silk ground cloth.
- Amelia - A refined 'flower and basket' pattern, based on an embellished silk brocade in the Windsor archive, richly printed on a pure silk ground cloth.
- Gilpin - An elegantly striped cut velvet with a delicate floral trail interwoven, inspired by a silk cushion in the Windsor archive.
- Edgar - A smale scale repeating quatrefoil pattern in an opulent cut velvet with a matt/sheen effect.
- Rundell - A smale scale repeating pattern in an opulent cut velvet with a matt/sheen effect inspired by a heavily embellished silk cushion in the Windsor archive.
- Seddon - A lustrous, smale scale repeating fleur de lys patterned velvet inspired by an original Napoleonic hanging.
- Linford - An exquisite silk velvet with an intricately worked pattern inspired by a fabric originally used in Windsor Castle.
- Darnley - An exquisite silk velvet with an elegant classical motif, inspired by a fabric originally used in Windsor Castle.
- Arundale - Inspired by fabrics from Windsor Castle, this architectural design is available both as a jacquard silk damask in 7 colours and as a wallpaper in 8 colours.
- Chantry - A motif taken from a silk fabric from the archive in both a jacquard woven silk-satin damask with striped effect in the ground in 6 colours and as a highly decorative wallpaper in 10 colours.
- Campanile - An extravagant sculptured pelmet from the archive was the inspiration behind this stunning large-scale handsome demask in 10 colours.
- Oriel - A figurative medallion inspired by fabrics from Buckingham Palace. A woven silk damask in 7 colours.
- Charlotte - Inspired by a curtain from the archive. A beautifully embroidered floral bouquet and damask in 7 colours.
- Tabinet - Inspired by upholstery from Windsor Castle. This vibrant emerald green embroidered satin is luxurious and elegant.
- Verity - Intricate embroidered bouquets of flowers with rich Aubusson highlights on a woven silk ground in an emerald green.
- Trefoil - As Campanile, this stunning jacquard cut velvet was inspired by the flock pelmet curtain in this archive, available in 4 colours and as a flocked wallpaper in 5 sumptuous colours.
- Hawksmoor - Inspired by a silk damask from Windsor Castle, this luxurious pure velvet silk is utterly reflective of its royal roots in 3 fabulous colours and as a surface printed wallpaper in 7 colours.
- Greville - A heraldic figured velvet woven in viscose and cotten offering a shimmering pile with elegant touches of metallic in the ground, available in 5 colours and as a printed wallpaper in 10 colours.
