how to hang wall coverings

Start with the right kit: wallpaper perforator, scraper, pasting table, tape measure, bucket and sponge, pasting brush, smoothing brush or plastic spatula, sharp scissors, plumb line and pencil.
If you are hanging ‘paste-the-wall’ wallcovering, you don’t need the pasting table, and a paste roller can be used as an alternative to a pasting brush.
It is helpful to wear some overalls or an apron with pockets to hold scissors, smoothing brush, pencil etc. If walls are more than 2.5 metres (8 ft) high, use two stepladders with a plank to make a stable platform.
