purchasing coordinator - head office

We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our busy Purchasing Department within head office. The successful candidate must work well under pressure but must also be a key team player. This position requires a highly motivated and pro-active individual ideally with some experience in the textile or home wares industry.

Must have proven experience in the following key areas:

Raising purchase orders & managing the delivery schedule for a high volume of skus.

Close liaison with Sales/Product Development & Customer Services to forecast, plan stock levels and monitor product performance.

Ability to analyse sales and stock levels to ensure stock-outs are kept to a minimum.

Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with them effectively.

Experience of working with European and Far Eastern suppliers would be beneficial.

Whilst we offer extensive training, any experience of working in a Purchasing Dept would be an advantage as would some additional languages, particularly Italian.
